Yr 11 Art

 My why

I chose to do mental health because I have recently gone through a lot of hardcore things and I wanted to be able to express that through art and show people what I was feeling or on the other hand give a clear representation of what it’s like to have different mental health issues such as schizophrenia and autism.

My artist model at the start of the year was Christopher McKenny he does a lot of dark artwork which I thought could potentially relate to my subject.

I was recently pulled out of my board which as unfortunate as that is,is a good opportunity for me to start fresh and develop some more ideas for a different subject and just take more time to think about my art.Miss Clemence gave me the idea to do my art on a manacin that was decorated with paint that sat on one of the shelves.I took on this idea and tried to draw,paint,and sketch it in a very abstract way(that was what I was going for anyway)

I decided to enter myself back into doing the board.(I have no idea why I though it was in my power but anyway)so in the end I completed a board which obviously wasn’t entered.

My new artist model was Frida Kahlo 

I had recently watched a documentary about her work and was very familiar with what she was about.

I started with some sketches they were the best pieces of art I feel I had ever done and unfortunately I lost them  in the move to the new building.I sketched the manicin in different angles and printed pictures to collage onto pieces of paper and eventually pulled some pretty cool artworks together such as a spray painted background with the manican picture cut out and put upright and upside with 

On the board I started with sketches and charcoal drawings I also had some dry brushing going on which I should have left until my second board or just positioned is differently.

On the second half of my board I painted used the same colour background for all of them which was a nice red with black, but did a couple of things differently like spray paint.And did a lot of collages.

The manican has been really helpful as she has helped me improve my shading and also get some context on angles and how light works,and with a bit of help from Mr Collins I was away drawing.

Composition diary.

25th Friday May

So today,well lately i have been blanking out ,but managed to get my chords sorted and arranged into the way I want them.The genre im working on is sort of pop rock,which is exciting.This week im hoping to work on the lyrics.


1st Friday June

I finally have my 1st  verse down and im just tweaking it to make it sound better using the thesaurus etc,but starting to work on my chorus hopefully I will have that down by the end of next week.I feel like its sounding really good at the moment,needs some work but its only early stages.

8th Friday June

Im finding is really difficult to get the chorus and verse down and keep it short because that's one of my biggest issue is making my music to long.But I have finished the chorus finally still tweaking it but got everything down so im happy.

15th Friday June
Im not really getting anywhere,I'm blank I cant think a new verse,but ill keep going,I know i can do it i just need time to think.i don't think im liking the tune so ill have to tweak that also.

22nd Friday June
i have scrapped it and stated from the beginning as it isn't going anywhere at all i just can make it work so this is worst case scenario but i can do it.

Music

This week I want to learn all the lyrics of by heart as I am still relying on the words,I am working on my half of the song as the wicked witch.

For Good-to me is about family and how like no matter what they will always be there for you.

Art 3 Artis models

This artwork is although very scary it is very amzing I love the way this artist uses black ink and his art is similar to the art that I do already.It is called Horror pet semetary.I would really like to do something like this to show the see no evil theme.


This next picture really intriegued me becuase it is very mysterious and dark which ties in with my theme,I would also like to do some photography and this idea is really good I had an idea like this but I wanted to add some skull makeup so as it ties in with the first idea

This picture is really awesome i love the details and how innocent but dark it is.

My idea concept (art)

This is the type of art I would like to go for as my first 3 sketches and then from there on do some sketches from the depression aspect of it.

For my Idea I have chosen to do is;See no Evil,Hear no evil,Speak no evil,Which I am going to intertwine with Depression or anxiety.
My main focus will be to find a way to tie the two ideas together.
the two medians I will focus on is-pencil sketch and Black ink.

Group Song

Thursday 1st March 2018

My group which consists of Alyssa wright and myself,is performing a song called For Good,From a Broadway play called Wicked.
My role in the group is singing and playing guitar.
The part I am singing is the part of the wicked witch.Playing the guitar will be the most difficult as some of the chords I don't know yet.

Minimum sentence requirements

-Explain what your group did for your PBL, what was and was not successful, and why.

For project based learning my group did suicide prevention.As a group the people in it didn't work,but in the end it was fine.What did work was our planning we got a plan sorted in about 20 minutes.We did a bake sale which was fun we managed to raise $60 to send to youth-line.We also planned to do a mural which we didn't manage to get done but have plans to do it on the holiday's.

-Explain whether your group achieved your goals and why or why not

We achieved 1 of our goals which was to get the bake sale done.We got is done bye persevering

and good time management.As I said we didn't achieve the mural.We didn't achieve it because of the lack of time management towards the end.

-Describe and explain YOUR PERSONAL ACTIONS IN THE enriching or improving the lives of others

My actions-I did the slides took me a while but I managed to finish,I also did the speech on what our group did,I baked for the bake.

-Explain what you would do differently next time and why

Time management,I guess the fact that it is the end of the year got on top of everyone meaning everyone was tired and wasn't motivated to do it .

Also choosing my peers wisely it became a bountiful amount of stress on me as my peers didn't do any work,I ended up taking lunchtimes and even staying after school to get the work done.

PBL

Week 2
Ideas week-We finally came up with a solid plan ,we are on checkpoint 5 at this point in time and we are exited to get things rolling,our plan is to do a bake sale exiting am i right,also we will hopefully get mural done if we can get the "ok" from Mr Sutton which were able to do" YAY"

Project based learning

Week 1
So we are getting started, getting our ideas on the table and choosing a subject
many subjects have come to mind like LGBT which is a big subject and same with family violence.
But the one that really stood out to us was suicide prevention so that is what we are going with.We managed to finish checkpoint 1-3 this week and after we fix the rest of checkpoint 3 we will be onto doing our tasks.

We also had to come up with our name which we decided TREEhouse just for fun

Have you ever been so scared you could just die?It started when I went to a family bonfire at my uncle Alan’s farm, we had a metal band (unite the silence) playing in the backyard , everyone their drinks in their hands singing along to the music, the bbq flaring with tender steak sizzling away, the sounds of giggling children floated through the air like butterflies.

It was dinner time, we all sat down and ate our food made by our amazing cooks, everyone was talking away about the latest gossip in the family.After dinner, everyone sat down and roasted marshmallows while soaking up the heat projected by the flames. The marshmallows melted in my mouth gooey and delicious, I could feel the warmth flowing through my body like I was rapped in a warm blanket tiring my eyes.It was getting late, we got sent to bed and all of us lay on the couches in the lounges talking until our eyes started to clamp together.

Dani….wake up come, ”said a quiet voice as I slowly tuned into the world around me.I saw my cousins standing around.”Get your coat and  shoes we are going for a walk.”Natasha my older cousin told me where we were going as I put my shoes on”Remember how were joking  about sneaking to the  abandoned  house at the farm next door?”Tash said,”oh man really….. ok I’ll come.”I replied in a weary voice.My stomach tied itself up as my aunt had told us about how she saw something moving at that house we all thought she was joking I didn't though but I sucked It up and we started walking.

As we got to the house we could all see that we were all scared but Natasha and her brother Zack kept it well hidden.We had been there for about 10 tedious minutes before we actually went inside.The door screeched open we knew that the house was decrepit. The floorboards creaked as we took the first step the crackling the old kitchen pots violently dancing with the wind pushed us to the edge of our nerves.After searching the house to see what was there we decided to play a game of hiding and go seek.No one really wanted to, but we decided to be bold and tough and do it.Zack was in 1,2,3,4, I sprint to a ragged old shearing house not realizing I was alone I jumped the fences and hid behind a tower of hay bales with only the moon as my light as I sat in a nest made of hay.”I’m gonna get you.”A voice whispered in the distance, everything went quiet I was alone the wind was whistling through the holes in the roof and the sound of the fences tinkering together taunted me.The darkness wrapped its arms around me holding me tight, all of a sudden I heard a loud bang.The shed door slammed shut and I wasn't able to get out.Someone was coming but It wasn't zack I heard him trying to find Natasha and Jaz in the distance.Someone else was there with us, I had to get out I could get through the hole in the roof while being quite but also getting cut up or get the saw and saw a hole in the wall?My head was spinning My heart was racing My blood was pumping and adrenaline flowed through my veins.I decided to take the easy way out.I rapidly grabbed the hay bales and stacked them up as quietly as I could and crept up them slowly but surely But I had underestimated the size of the hole and I knew there was no way I was getting through It without getting seriously hurt.I grabbed a hammer out of a worn-out toolbox to try and chip away the rusted edges of the hole to try an make it wider.It worked I jumped onto the roof and climbed down a pole that I found on the side of the shed and started running.It started chasing me I was scared out of my mind until the chaser came into the light,” found you” said everyone they were all looking for me they all came up with a master plan to scare me.”Haha…..good one.”I replied sarcastically.

I learned not to let my thoughts get twisted up and learned a few survival skills along the way.

Social Studies

In social studies my group that consists of Noah Sefo ,Alyssa Wright,and myself have been working on project  cyclone Nargis a terrible event that costed many people their lives also causing earthquakes and disrupting the people of Myanmar's daily lives.

I have trained myself to be quick,smart,strong,and i am unstoppable with a sword.I train with my father  and I have risen to defeat him in combat..I can make shelter out of essentially  anything,and my hunting skills are sublime .I am exceptional at hiding and I can think fast in a high pressure situation..I believe I can win,I believe that I will rise to be preeminent can annihilate the rest but I need your help to get there,I need your help to  dominate the rest  and together we can both be victorious.

Do you really want the next leader to be  weak or do you want to sponsor someone that can help her whole district rise to victory.
